Sandra Bukane

Lawyer, real estate professional and long- term public sector official with wide experience in governmental and municipal institutions, Mrs. Sandra Bukane is the Head of Ventspils City Council’s Office in the capital city Riga and Deputy Head of Ventspils city Development Department.
Sandra Bukane is the Member of the Supervisory Board in JSC Waserkabel Baltic – the company produces the components for highly energy efficient hydronic heating and cooling technology based on the flow of water in the capillary mats. Sandra is also the Member of the Board in Latvian Energy Efficiency Association.

During her professional career Sandra served for 5 years as the Legal Advisor to the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia H.E. Mr. V. Dombrovskis (now - European Commission Executive Vice-President and Trade Commissioner), as the Advisor on real estate matters for former Ministers of Finance and Education and Science, as the Member of the Board, Deputy Chairman and acting Chairman of the Board in the state - owned company which managed state real estate and also represented for 7 years the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Latvia in the Executive Board of Ventspils Freeport Authority – Ventspils is the second biggest port and Special Economic Zone in Latvia with the attractive incentives for doing business.

Sandra earned Master Degree in Law (LL.M) from the University of Latvia and the professional diploma in real estate valuation.

Sandra has extensive network of contacts in public and private sectors and in-depth understanding of public policy in various sectors including EU funding programs which are available for the support of businesses in Latvia. •Gratitude of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia for the high responsibility and professionalism in the performance of duties
