Asha Arondekar

State President, Goa

Born and raised in Goa, Asha is deeply passionate about innovation and community development. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Biochemistry from Pune, where she was awarded a gold medal for academic excellence.

At just 19, Asha began her entrepreneurial journey by co-founding a trading firm in Pune, which quickly evolved into a joint venture specializing in the manufacturing and export of pharmaceutical research products.

Upon returning to Goa, Asha established a pharmaceutical research company but later transitioned her focus to the wellness industry. Over the course of 12 years, she successfully introduced the renowned wellness brand VLCC to Goa, playing a pivotal role in shaping the state’s growing health and beauty sector. Building on this success, she launched her own brand, Satva Salon and Spa, a chain of salons and spas that has flourished across Goa for over a decade.

In 2020, Asha merged her entrepreneurial spirit with a commitment to social impact by founding Global to Local, a Goan supermarket aimed at empowering rural women and self-help groups while promoting Goa’s vibrant culture and locally produced goods. She also serves as a board member of Aparant Foods Ltd., a government initiative dedicated to supporting Goan food clusters, and actively contributes as a core committee member of International Fashion Week (IFW Goa).

In June 2023, Asha was honored to be appointed as the Chairperson of the Women’s Wing at the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI). In this esteemed role, she collaborates with a committed team to spearhead initiatives that empower women across Goa, fostering growth, development, and a stronger sense of community
