Dr. Alakananda Das
President, Northeast IndiaDr. Alakananda Das is a social entrepreneur focused on rural empowerment and sustainability blending innovative design with cultural heritage. Inspired by the challenges of rural weavers in Assam, she launched several initiatives for sustainable livelihoods and community development.
As Founder and CEO of the Looms Ecopreneur Federation, she promotes rural empowerment and hosts the Looms Conclave for sustainable partnerships. She also holds key roles in the India ASEAN Business Council and G100, advocating for sustainable practices and international collaborations. Her work significantly uplifts rural communities and advances social entrepreneurship.
