I am Vandana Misra, a practicing advocate in the State of Himchal Pradesh. Apart from regular civil and criminal litigation my area of interest is Public Interest Litigations wherein I've worked on a number of environmental, human, children and animal rights issues. Recently I've filed a petition in the Hon'ble High Court Of H.P to provide relief to Covid 19 affected patients in which very comprehensive directions have been passed by our Hon'ble Court. In 2018, I was invited by CNRS Paris in France to deliver a lecture on my legal work pertaining to environmental and animal rights issues in the State of H.P, with specific reference to a petition on banning of animal sacrifice in the State of H.P.
Apart from this my interests include reading, writing hiking and music. I am a nature and animal lover. I also love to read and travel. My larger vision is to create a more humanistic society by continuing to advocate for issues that lead to espousing a voice for the voiceless and create a sustainable planet by doing my bit. I firmly believe in the adage "Think global act local". Through my work and life I intend to be an instrument of social change to leave the world a little better than when I inherited it. "
