TAKE AWAY AS A FOUNDER

I would share my top three takeaways from my journey of founding and running our little B2B2C brand, Unifabz.

The right team: Entrepreneurship is tough and demanding, and there will be more rough days than smooth ones. Having the right partners and team members, working with whom will be pleasurable, will keep your motivations high.

If you're a solo-preneur, seek out and find a great #2 and #3 (do that even if you're not a solo-preneur, but the imperative is much higher if you're alone) for your business. Give them stock, give them your trust and make their journey above and beyond employment. They will be the people who you will hold your hand when the going is rough. And your wins will be their wins too!

Hold your vision and Keep learning: Believe in your vision. You may not have the perfect solution out of the door. Go back and tweak it. Track your data. Examine your hypotheses every single day to keep the belief in your solution. Don't be foolhardy in sticking with the original vision of your solution, but always remember why you started the business. Keep learning new tricks. That big problem that you want to solve - keeps chipping away at it and encourages your team to do the same.

Drop the label "woman": Yes, I am a woman entrepreneur, and I agree that my gender lends me certain characteristics which make me different from a male entrepreneur. But at the end of the day, I am just here to run a business and actualize a vision. The world is ready to give enough labels to you without asking. Don't bear this label as an extra burden in your journey.
